The Diocese of Los Angeles Young Professionals Committee was formed in 2003 under the auspices of His Grace Bishop Serapion in an effort to foster community spirit in which post-graduate Coptic youth could grow in the Orthodox Church. In 2007 the service was expanded to include youth parishioners enrolled in graduate programs.The Diocese of Los Angeles Graduates & Young Professionals Committee service seeks to promote the understanding of Orthodox beliefs and principles through educational seminars, community service projects and fellowship building activities. Through God’s provision and care, the service has grown into four organized events each year.These events have included Spiritual Days, Fellowship Nights, House-Building in Mexico and an annual four-day Convention.Over the last seven years, by the grace of God, the events have increased in attendance, serving youth ranging in age from their early twenties to mid-thirties. It has become an established, reputable and reliable haven for youth in the community seeking God in a spiritually uplifting and supportive environment. We pray that God continues to bless the service and use it as an instrument to draw His young flock to the Heavenly Kingdom.
